Zurich Maratón San Sebastián 2024, about to close registrations for the marathon
• There are only 500 bibs available for the main distance of the race in San Sebastián.
• Having closed registrations for the half-marathon a month ago, only registrations for the 10K will continue to be open until stocks last.
• Last two days to take advantage of the promotional price for athletes from Gipuzkoa.
The Zurich Maratón San Sebastián 2024 is breaking all its registration records. In April, the event sold out half of its 4,500 bibs for the main distance and closed registrations for the half-marathon with 1,000 bibs sold. Now, just one month later and 6 months before the race, there are only 500 registrations available to run the 42 kilometres of the Donostia Marathon. Moreover, this 31st May will be the last day on which Gipuzkoans will be able to take advantage of the special price as local runners. With all this, and with half a year to go until the race is held on November 24th, the event has already completed 70% of its total participation quota. For this reason, running the 10K of the San Sebastián Marathon, for which there are still more than 1,000 numbers available, is the perfect option to take part in the great running festival in San Sebastián. A 10K to savour For those who don’t want to miss the great atmosphere and the experience of crossing the finish line of the Zurich Maratón San Sebastián, there is still a third format available to savour it: the 10 kilometres, approved and ideal both for seeking a personal best and for making your debut in the distance and with all the services of a great international marathon (fair, cloakroom, official T-shirt, finisher’s medal, masseurs, etc…). The course of the Zurich Maratón San Sebastián 10K is completely flat and starts in the central Calle Hernani, next to the emblematic Alderdi Eder gardens, with the iconic San Sebastián City Hall in the background, just like the 21K and 42K distances. Its first kilometres run along the iconic San Sebastian beach of La Concha, and then take in the city centre and the Urumea River to reach the Gros neighbourhood. Finally, from this other side of the city, the athletes will enjoy a straight stretch of more than one kilometre along the Zurriola beach to reach the emblematic Boulevard and finish next to the Old Town. The route also passes by such emblematic sites as the Vitoria Eugenia Theatre, Pio XII Square, the Kursaal Palace and the Zurriola Bridge. |
