San Sebastián has always engaged with the world with an open and inclusive spirit and tolerance of social, ethnic, racial and cultural diversity. The Zurich Maratón San Sebastián fully adheres to these values and strives to organise an event in which people from all walks of life, young and old, feel at home.
These principles lie at the source of its commitment to gender equality and bringing the sport to everyone. It is only natural for an event with such an inclusive vision to make people with disabilities an integral part of our big celebration of running.
The Zurich Maratón San Sebastián has participants and/or volunteers in wheelchairs, with visual disabilities and intellectual disabilities, also ensuring that all the spaces designed for the race, such as the runner's fair, are accessible.
The participation of people in ‘’pushed wheelchairs‘’ within the AEFAT group is also contemplated. Their participation means that they will also be protagonists of this great sporting event, enjoying themselves together with their families and friends.
