The Zurich Maratón San Sebastián 2024 breaks its participation record for the second consecutive year and closes the registration period with 10,500 race numbers sold
For its next edition on November 24th, the San Sebastian Marathon has increased its number of registrations by 3,000 more compared to the previous year
For its 46th edition, the Zurich Maratón San Sebastián has once again beaten its record number of participants, selling out 20 days before the event – the same date on which it sold out last year – with 10,500 bibs sold for the coming 24th November: 6,000 for the main distance (42K), 1,000 for the half marathon (21K) and 3,500 for the 10K.
A figure that means that for 2024 the San Sebastian Marathon will beat its own participation record once again, growing by 3,000 more registrations compared to 2023, that is to say, by 28.6%. It is worth noting that the distance where participation has increased the most is the marathon, which has gone from having 3,500 entries sold to 6,000, an increase of 41.7%; while the half marathon has been limited to 1,000 numbers, half that of 2023, in order to increase the number of marathon runners, and the 10K has gone from 2,000 numbers sold last year to 3,500 for the next edition, an increase of 42.8%.
