What characterizes the Marathon course?
The new circuit premiered in 2022, confirmed that it is a more central, more touristic, faster and even flatter circuit. Perfect to enjoy as a runner and feel the warmth of the public.
The Marathon starts from the privileged surroundings of Hernani Street, in the heart of the city center next to the town hall and the Alderdi Eder gardens, and arrives at the emblematic Boulevard. The race passes through the downtown neighborhoods, Antiguo, Amara and Gros, passing through iconic areas such as the Paseo de la Concha or in front of such emblematic buildings as the Vitoria Eugenia Theater, the Anoeta Stadium, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, the Kursaal or the Plaza Gipuzkoa. To finish the race there is a magnificent straight of more than 1 kilometer completely flat to the finish line, surrounded by the warmth of the Gipuzkoan public.
Starts
To improve the experience for all participants, we will organize staggered starts based on the estimated pace provided during registration.
This measure aims to avoid crowding and ensure a smoother race for everyone.
